Southpark Baptist Church sought to upgrade its outdated sound system, which was poorly matched to the room's acoustics. The existing setup lacked cohesion, and the aging mixing console no longer met their needs. This upgrade aimed to enhance sound quality and provide a more reliable, modern solution for their space.

STEP 2

Design

AV Design Pros collaborated with industry partners to design and implement a passive stereo line array for this space. To accommodate the extended cable runs, choir and under-balcony fills were to be powered by a 70V/100V amplifier. The mixer would be upgraded to an Allen & Heath SQ-7, supported by multiple DX168 digital stage boxes for enhanced connectivity. Additionally, in-ear monitoring would be seamlessly integrated using the Allen & Heath ME-500 Personal Mixers, ensuring a cohesive and efficient audio ecosystem.

STEP 3

DELIVERY

The installation was carried out in two phases: the first focused on cabling and infrastructure, while the second involved equipment installation and configuration. Although phase two experienced a slight delay due to lead times, the project was successfully completed within a week.

DELIGHT

Southpark Baptist Church continues to rely on their upgraded sound system, with volunteers enjoying a smoother and more efficient workflow. Church members now experience clear, immersive audio, ensuring every sermon, song, and choir performance is heard with ease.
